After awhile the struts holding up our hood loose
their ooph. Luckily there are cheap replacements and the job only
takes about 10-15 minutes. I got mine from Pep Boys for 25$ each
but I hear that Auto Zone carries a set for 13$ each.

Installation:
| 1. |
First it helps to have a friend support the
hood, otherwise you have to hold it up with your shoulder. |
| 2. |
Using the 12mm wrench remove the lower bolt,
connecting the strut to the body. |
| 3. |
Using the 12mm wrench loosen the upper bolt,
connecting the strut to the hood, until you can loosen it
with your fingers. |
| 4. |
Holding the strut with one hand remove the
upper bolt. |
| 5. |
Install the short ball joint into the hood
and tighten it in with the 13mm wrench. |
| 6. |
Install the long ball joint into the body
and tighten it in with the 13mm wrench. |
| 7. |
Snap the strut in, one end at a time, the
same way the original one was, thicker side connected to
the hood. |
| 8. |
Repeat with the other side. |
