Lay to rest the decrepit 80's ignition system in your MK3 Supra by upgrading to modern
R35 GTR ignition coils. These parts allow Hitachi IGC0079 coils to bolt directly onto
the 7MGTE, using super low-profile coil stalks and a valley plate that fits comfortably
under the stock intake pipe.

Printing Notes
-
Print the ignition coil stalks in high-temperature nylon. Glass-fiber reinforced nylon
is ideal and mirrors the construction of the OEM Hitachi stalks.
-
Do not use carbon-fiber reinforced filament for the stalks. Your ignition system operates at 30-40kv, and carbon fiber is mildy conductive.
-
You might get away with ASA/ABS, but they run near the top of their safe temperature
range in this location. Use at your own risk.
-
The stalks include a small internal detent to retain the coil spring. You may need to
lightly file this feature so the spring can be inserted from the spark-plug end.
-
Trim approximately 8mm off the ignition coil spring so the coil
seats firmly on the spark plug with proper preload.
Mounting Plate Notes
-
The plate is designed to be cut from 3/16 aluminum
or steel. Should cost you around 50$ from sendcutsend.
-
Coil mounting holes are left blank so you can position your specific coils and then
drill/tap for your preferred hardware (M6 or M7 ~35 mm bolts work well).
-
There are no provisions for the factory cruise control bracket / throttle linkage /
slop injector. You can probably drill some extra holes if you want to keep them.
-
Use a compliant spacer between the plate and each valve cover tab. I used
two stacked 1.6mm rubber washers per bolt; O-rings should work well too.
